Yes, we charge a surcharge for incorporating strength in the magnifying glasses. That surcharge is €450 incl. VAT for applying strength in the lenses and €200 incl. VAT for applying your strength in the magnifiers.
No, we deliberately don't. Your magnifying glasses are a precision instrument that we want to fit with the utmost care. We use specialist equipment for this, which is not mobile. Moreover, in addition to opticians, we also have optometrists walking around in Doorn, so we can provide you with good advice right away in case of eye problems. TTL stands for 'Through The Lens'. It literally means that the Galileo magnifiers are drilled through the supporting lenses. This shortens the distance between the magnifiers and the cornea. This results in a stable and clear image.
A Galileo magnifier consists of several lenses - (bi)convex and (bi)concave - that ensure that the image is colour-fast and magnified magnificently. Galileo magnifiers are compact and lightweight.
